LEARNING FROM MISTAKES
The eyebrow speaks volumes now and in the past! However, I think we are more aware than ever of the importance of promoting growth and health to the eyebrow because of the mistakes from our past. Have we learnt a lesson? Absolutely we have! At Jasmine Beauty Therapy, we want to take what we know now as well as what history has provided and continue to evolve our own comprehensive training to give you the very best in eyebrow design. Read through this insightful summary of the history of eyebrows. At Jasmine Beauty we like to be in touch with new industry ideas and innovations, plus anything that can improve or tweak our current treatments. We are aware that some brow “trends” can come and go but we like to focus on the long term solutions that ofter our client the best results. Our main focus is on brow health, brow restoration (growing back damaged brows) and education to prevent long term damage. In saying that.. over the last few months we have been following a new beauty treatment called Brow Lamination. You may have already heard about this... What is Brow Lamination?
Brow Lamination is basically a technique used on the eyebrows to help set your brow hairs in place for up to 8 weeks. During the Lamination process, various solutions are placed on your eyebrows which allow the hairs to become more pliable and more easily brushed into place. If you are one of those people who need to brush and set your brows into place by using a gel each morning, then Lamination can make this process a little easier as the hairs are more pliable afterwards. It can help create symmetry and style brows that are growing in different directions from one another. Who should get Brow Lamination? Brow Lamination should be done on clients who have a good coverage of hair on their eyebrows. It does not add brow hair and should not be done on a client with sparse hair to avoid the products sitting directly on the skin, plus gaps without hair may look more noticeable after Lamination. People with brows that are unruly and wirey are good candidates. Also, people who have brows that don't stay in place or who have a lot of brow hair bunched together and want their brows to look fuller, bigger and more tame Who shouldn’t get brow Lamination Clients with reactions to Lash Lift products, sensitive skin and/or skin conditions. Anyone who has had a facial peel or a cosmetic procedure in the 2 weeks prior to the treatment or 2 weeks after those procedures. Important points to remember • Over processing the brow hair can cause hair weakness, breakage and damage. • Changing the direction of the hair too much can also risk hair breakage and can damage the hair shaft. At the moment we don’t have an opinion for or against Brow Lamination but we will let you know if this is something we will be offering once we have witnessed the results over a period of time. We want our clients to be well informed before trying new treatments, there is still plenty to be learnt regarding brow health. Keep in mind, some past “trends” are the reason we are so busy now restoring brows! |
