a special brow journey

Sometimes we are lucky enough to be part of something very special, and to be grateful that people can have such trust in us and our ability to restore brows. 

This journey is about Tarra (our Beauty Therapist & Brow Designer) and her client Jill. 

Jill had her first appointment in April 2018 - it had been two weeks since her last chemotherapy treatment.
She came to us because her daughter was having her brows done here and was very happy, amazingly her daughter drives all the way from Nhill to see us.

The Initial consultation & Design appointment was very daunting for both client and therapist. Using normal brow tint didn’t make a lot of difference that early on, as there wasn’t a lot of hair to work with. For the second appointment Tarra suggested trying Brow Henna to add a bit more shape and have the colour last longer as Jill was drawing on her brows each day just so they were visible. 

Henna worked well for about 4 months, giving more colour and shape to her brows, then as more hair growth came through, Tarra changed back to tinting for a more natural look, as she felt the combination of henna and her patchy hair regrowth looked too uneven.

As the months went by with careful attention, Tarra continued to tint, shape & trim the brow and work with any new growth. Tarra noticed a consistent depth in colour and strength in the hair, this helped to create a stronger shape throughout the body of the brow as a result Jill could use her brow products at home more easily. 
This part of the journey was very significant for our client, because she felt more confident in being able to maintain her brows outside of her normal appointments. 

As you can see by the photo below Jill has embraced her natural salt & pepper hair colour as it has continued to grow back and getting her brows and lashes growing back as well has been a major win, as natural brows always look best in a situation like this. 

Month by month, hair by hair, both client and therapist have been patient, and continue to be. The tint each month helps to add colour and depth to each soft new hair that grows creating a natural shape to slowly return. 

This was such an important and special story for us to share with you. We want all women coming into our salon to know that each treatment we do, we do it to give women confidence in themselves.
